Swim your way to safety and revision

Last term on week nine we went on our trip to the panmure lagoon pools. After we changed we got ready to board the bus while making sure everyone was here. We were all filled with enthusiasm. To go swimming for one last time this term.

When we got there we got in our groups and waited for our turn. Once it was our turn we hopped in, and dunked our whole body under water so that we could adapt to the coldness. Then the teacher said to start our lesson by doing a freestyle.where we had to face down while doing arm strokes.

Secondly we were doing the treading water skill. To me this one was the hardest skill.Because you have to rotate your hands in a circle while trying to float. It took me a few tries for me to get used to it but in the  end I learnt it.On to the next skill we floated on our back and front. This one was pretty easy because all you needed to do was lay back and relax.but it was a little hard too because it always felt like i was going to fall under the water.

Then for our last lesson the teacher, one of our classmates had to stand on the side with this long pool noodle which they had to pull us. I had to be saved so I pretended to drown.  While my friend ( Peter ) knelt and threw the pool noodle like a rope to save me. I grabbed the pool noodle while floating on my back so that it was easier for him to pull me in. Once I was close he grabbed my hand and pulled me up to the surface.

That was the end of our amazing journey to the panmure lagoon pools. I hope we can have the same breath taking experience next time!
